'To attain tranquility of body and mind' is essential in the material world. When this tranquility is destroyed that state is called disease. Medical treatment is the healing of that disturbance.

Devotion to god and the classical arts which are rooted in devotion have the same healing power. The classical arts, especially Music, Dance and Playing Rhythmic instruments such as drums help, not only mental calmness, but also physical tranquility created through the art forms.

Kalakshetram, a centre for classical art forms has been set up alongside the Poonthottam Ayurvedasram. Touryatrikas;ie) the art of playing music, rhythmic instruments and dance are taught here. In this atmosphere of rural calmness in the purity of Yogamandapa, studying the classical art will help improve the health of the students
